The Registrar General Department (RGD) is Nevis sole repository of birth, death, marriage and fetal death records. The RGD is responsible for registering all vital events such as births, fetal deaths, marriages and deaths and for carrying out the following activities:

• Monitoring the activities of the District Registrars
• Issuing certified copies of births, deaths and marriage certificates  on request
• Amending documents by:
  • Deed Poll
  • Affidavit
  • Paternity Suit
• Public Health accounting
