CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (September 3, 2010) -- Members of the Nevis Disaster Management Department, last week, met with Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency [CDEMA] Mr. Jeremy Collymore and the National Disaster Coordinator for St. Kitts-Nevis, Mr. Carl Herbert to discuss advances in disaster management and preparedness on Nevis.

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (September 03, 2010) -- Though among the smallest islands in the Caribbean, Nevis has shown that barriers could be overcome in the area of renewable energy. Those words came from Project Consultant of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Development Programme (CREDP) and the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Mr. Thomas Scheutzlich, at the official launch of the WindWatt Nevis Ltd. Wind Farm at Maddens Estate recently.

CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (September 02, 2010) -- Minister responsible for Renewable Energy and the Environment in Nevis Hon. Carlisle Powell, said the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) was pleased to support the efforts of WindWatt who brought the Maddens Wind Farm to life in 2010. He made the comment on Friday, at the official launch of the first ever wind farm commissioned in the Organisation of East Caribbean States (OECS).

Premier of Nevis, Hon. Joseph Parry at Maddens Wind farm

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS--Tuesday, August 31st, 2010) Premier of Nevis, Hon. Joseph Parry said he was proud that Nevis was again the first in the Eastern Caribbean ...this time with a commercial Wind Farm.  He made the statement at the opening ceremony of the WindWatt Wind Farm at Maddens Pasture on Friday.
