To assess and regulate the fisheries resources of Nevis and to promote sustainable use of these resources, and to manage the harvesting of stocks to ensure food security, also to promote aquaculture and encourage conservation practices. 

Goals

• To encourage sustainable use of the fishery by all stakeholders.
• To collect and analyse fish catch data.
• To increase the number of consultations with fishing communities to ensure sustainable fishing.
